molly flanders, you rock!
just want to give a shout out to my good friend, mary! she is this amazing quilter/sewist who taught me the art of quilting and is now a wonderful friend. on wednesday she was so sweet to feature me & my work on her blog! what an honor. since she is so crazy talented... it is something else to hear her say that i am talented. wow!
and, now that the ball is rolling on my etsy shop, i can legitimately spend much more time in my craftroom! woop-woop! i love that room. especially in the afternoon when the warm sun peeks through the windows. it's a happy place. soooo, rain, rain, go away, come again another day!
here's hoping your day is sunny & bright!

little early spring
the 'winter' weather has been, well, not very wintery so far this year... no doubt that will change soon! and i am sure some of y'all are reading that and saying, "shhhhhhh!!" i, however, actually like some snow in my winters, so i hope it will show its white smiling face soon! in the meantime, i have added a little springiness to my etsy shop. yay! my newest floorcloth is now for sale at the lime loft... don't you just want to see this under your feet everyday?
i just love these colors and am so happy at the completed floorcloth. here is a shot of what it looks like in front of the kitchen sink:
as for the new year being here... i am still trying to figure out how to better organize my craft/work room (new year, new organization. right?) and finding the random christmas decorations we missed when we took them all down last week. there are always one or two things that you look at and say, 'how did we miss that?' does this happen to you?
well, i am off to work on my next design or sewing project... not sure which direction i will go, but either one is going to be fun!

welcome 2012!
wow, so, i have been on a hiatus from my blog since november 28th. it has been a busy month+. i finally started feeling better just after that blog (thank goodness.. that stunk!) then the christmas hustle and bustle hit. it was busy, fun, wonderful, exhausting, challenging, beautiful, and full of family & friends. i love the holidays with all the decorations and twinkling lights. but, i also love starting a new year with all the wonders it holds. soooo, here we go! welcoming in 2012. how cool is that?
for 2012, i have opened a little shop on etsy selling floorcloths and items i've sewn which i find fun and lovely. my shop is called 'the lime loft' and you can check it out here. as i just get started, there are only a few items, but hopefully i will be able to start spending more time in my craft room creating! it is exciting to think about. my family has been so supportive and encouraging. they have been handing out my new business cards (which are really cool!) designed by matt holley design. he is quite amazing. for christmas my daughter painted my logo on a large canvas for me to hang in my room! isn't it amazing?
now, i have been working some on a new floorcloth for my shop over the last couple weeks when time allowed. here is a peek at what it looks like...
this is one of my favorite floorcloths! i will share the completed project early next week!
i hope you have all had a wonderful holiday and are looking forward to 2012! happy new year!
